IP Overview
SMIC offers a vast and diverse portfolio of semiconductor intellectual property (IP) blocks from 0.35um to 90nm to support the design needs of customers. With over 500 internal and third-party IPs available, SMIC provides a wide selection to help customers get their designs to market and minimize their time-to-market. In addition, we can provide customized IP to meet the special needs of customers.  

SMIC In House IP

The majority of SMIC in house IPs are analog IPs such as PLL, DLL, ADC, DAC, voltage regulator, specialty I/O, and high speed I/O. SMIC has also developed specialty memory IPs such as EEPROM, NAND ROM, and OTP ROM. The IPs undergo rigorous testing and process verification at SMIC to ensure designers can readily integrate them into chip designs for computing, communication, consumer, and other applications and products.

Third Party IP

An expanding network of leading IP providers add to SMIC's portfolio of IP solutions. For example, IPs such as the ARM926EJ Hard Core and Synopsys USB2.0 OTG nano PHY IP have been verified on SMIC's 0.13¦Ìm process. SMIC's third-party partners also provide DSP Cores, PCI-Express PHY, 10/100 Ethernet PHY, SATA II PHY, and more.

SMIC's IP Customization Services

In addition, SMIC provides customized IPs and I/Os to meet the specific needs of customers. In the past year alone, SMIC has successfully performed over 100 IP customizations for customers worldwide.
